Role Description:
As the Internship Onboarding Champ, your role is to ensure a smooth, streamlined onboarding process for both interns and departments. You will be responsible for ensuring the onboarding process/checklist are followed by all managers and interns have availability to all the tools/resources needed for their internships. You will also assist in creating and enforcing a streamlined onboarding process for new departments into the program to ensure their program offers paths for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively identify ways we can improve our onboarding process and collect feedback/share ideas with Directors and in monthly champ meetings
Act as the main resource/mentor for new departments/managers in the onboarding process of the intern program
Responsible for holding managers accountable to filling out the schedules sheet in a timely manner so there is enough time for the BPO to create their intern resources
Work with the BPO to ensure interns email, slack, asana, and asana board creation are created
Connect with department intern champs to ensure onboarding plans (30,60,90 day goal tracker) are being created for each intern and trainings outlined
Update the “onboarding checklist” task in the manager asana board template as you see fit
Be active in the #intern-managers slack channel during the month leading up to each semester and the first month of the semester
