Process in QA'ing email campaigns and team QA pods.

Email QA Process


*All emails must follow the process prior to sending for client approval.

  • Once the email is built →

  • Then send to client for approval

    • If your client does not want to QA, add an extra QA person (i.e. AM/AD)


Checklist

Messaging / Copy / Creative:

  • Typos

  • Punctuation

  • Capitalization

  • Trademarks

  • Subject Line/Preview Text

  • Correspond with most up to date Copy Doc and/or creative (should be sent over from email lead)

  • Address in Footer

Promotions:

  • Correct Dates

  • Correct Price

  • Correct Promo Details (% off, $ off, BOGO, etc)

  • Inclusion of any disclaimers (if necessary)

  • Promotion setup on backend (check manually or ask AD / AM)

  • If dynamic/unique discount, send a LIVE test to client to ensure the code pulls in correctly

Links / Images/ Products:

  • All images linked

  • All links are correct

  • Images included match product being discussed or featured

  • Product in Stock (or noted that it’s on pre-order if that is the intent)

Strategist ONLY QA (not needed for QA buddy):

  • Check correct date & time

    • Ensure time sent is correct not PM or AM when the alternate is intended

    • Ensure time is not sent in local time if specific is intended

  • Check segment

Litmus

Do this for your own emails before scheduling them.

*This is super important because your email may look fine when you preview it with your ESP but it could get messed up on other email providers or devices!!!

Step 1: login to Litmus

-the login is in lastpass and it’s the one for Julie Zubak

Password: PowerSEO1*

Step 2:

-send your test email to: powerdigital@litmusemail.com

Step 3:

-go back to Litmus and see that it came through on the dashboard under “Recent Emails”

Step 4:

-click on that email and go to “Checklist” at the top

Step 5:

-look at allllll the versions of your email

Internal QA Structure

We will be utilizing a pod structure as noted below for internal QA. Use your QA pod! Please send test emails at least 48-72 hours prior to deployment date – this is our goal 😀

Step 1: Self-QA (run through checklist)

Step 2: Tag your Pod to send a test

Pod 1 - Send-it Squad

Pod 2 - Slay the Send

Pod 3 - Hit Send & Chill
