Standardized INFLUENCER AM Client Kickoff Process

(Asana will also deploy a kickoff checklist to the AM)

  • DAY 0: Deal Deployment

    • Sales Lead posts deal in New Client Deployment Slack channel with proposal, client contact info, team etc.

  • DAY 0: Internal Kickoff

    • Account Manager schedules :30 Internal kickoff with INF account team + sales lead to get download on account. Team expected to review written materials prior to internal kickoff

      • Note: for cross-channel accounts, internal kickoff will cover all channels.

    • AM will create the Client Drive folder

  • DAY 1: Client Intro Email

    • Account Manager sends Intro Email to client with survey and kickoff call times

      • Hold 2-3 times on team’s calendars (1 hour)

        • Meeting title: [Client Name] x PDM Kickoff

      • For survey, go to Typeform, make a copy of Influencer Template & customize. Hyperlink survey in kickoff email note

        • Ask for Typeform completion at least 2 days before kickoff call

    • Note: for cross-channel accounts, connect with other channels to determine if they have standard Q’s to add (Creative and PR have templates)

  • WEEK 1: Client Kickoff Call

    • Make a copy of Master Kickoff Deck and customize

      • Should include a slide on brand goals (pull from Typeform survey responses)

      • Tip: search recent Influencer kickoff decks to replicate

    • Account Manager leads call with deck & screen share

      • Delegate Influencer strategist or support to take notes

    • Kickoff follow-up email - template below

      • Collect info we didn’t get from survey/kickoff call

      • Send times for biweekly meeting

      • Send times for Influencer Strategy presentation

  • WEEK 1: Post Kickoff Internal Sync (week of)

    • AM Schedule Internal Huddle (30 mins) on follow-up questions & next steps

    • AM tasks out Influencer List, Strategy and Creative Brief in Asana

  • MONTH 1: Influencer Strategy + List Building

    • Inf team works on strategy + lists

    • Upon completion, AM reviews and approves to send to client

    • Optional: biweekly internal tbs with account team to pace on progress

  • EO MONTH 1: Influencer Strategy Client Review

    • Client call

  • Ongoing: Biweekly Internal Account Sync

    • Use internal sync to discuss challenges, pacing to goal etc.

Establishing Expectations:

Client Involvement

  • Common practice is for clients to approve influencer lists, creative briefs, strategy and drafted content before it goes live

  • Clients are not to be involved in the negotiation process or have eyes on budget allocations per influencer

    • Exceptions can be made for clients who insist on knowing the rates per influencer, however, it is included in our contract that those terms will remain confidential

Kickoff Workflow Timeline

  • Month 1 is a build phase. Client can expect coverage to start going live Month 2/Month 3.

Strategy Shifts

  • Given the timeline and workflow of campaign ideation, clients should give atleast 1 month notice on upcoming campaign requests to ensure time for production of creative briefs, influencer lists, etc.

Great to e-meet you! I wanted to introduce myself as I will be your Account Manager and main POC at Power Digital. We are all extremely excited to work with you and the X team!

To launch each campaign, we start with a kick-off call to introduce our teams and ensure we're all aligned on the go-forward plan and set up our month one planning for success. Please let me know which of the below times work best for you and who from your team we should include:

  • Tuesday, July 7 at 11 a.m.

  • Wednesday, July 8 at 2 p.m.

Additionally, to make the best use of your time on our kick-off call, we put together a survey to ensure we have everything we need to get started. We’ll use your responses to guide our kickoff call and dive deeper into anything that needs clarification. We ask that you complete the Kickoff Survey by XXX (best practice, 2+ days after it’s sent and 2 days before kickoff call).

Kickoff Follow-up Email Template:
