OOO expectations

  • Timeline

    • 1 day OOO - connect on any coverage needed with team members (shouldn’t be much)

    • 2 days OOO - connect on any coverage needed with team members and post coverage plan in relevant int team slack channels

    • 1 week OOO - ensure team members covering are in the loop and set on coverage items

    • 2 weeks OOO - The plan needs to be shared with the manager at least two weeks prior

  • Coverage

    • Strategists

      • Expectation: Get ahead on monthly workflow (coverage should be minimal)

    • AM

      • Expectation: If it’s easy/possible for you to send the weekly update, schedule it to send. Coverage should be provided by a strategist on the account if possible (not ES.)

  • Reachable/NonReachable

    • Reachable: Working on flights, checking emails a few times that day, and cell service for urgent needs

    • Non-reachable: Different time zone, unplugging with family, no wifi, etc.

  • Know Your Accounts

    • In a typical week do urgent requests often come up for your client?

    • Is BFCM huge for the client?

    • Will others on the account be OOO? (Check their calendar)
