Instructions:

Before submitting a request, please make sure to confirm the following:

1.) Confirm with client that they've already migrated to GA4

2.) Confirm the correct G4 Property

  • Clients will often set up a dummy or test account, so please confirm!

Filling out the Request:

Submit your request to migrate current GDS dashboard to GA4 through the normal process, as follows:

  • Fill out the reporting request form here

    • Task Type = Existing GDS Update (Note: You will need to have the link to the most up-to-date GDS dashboard)

      • IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a legacy client that does not use and/or have a GDS dashboard currently set up, use the task type = New GDS Looker Report/Report Creation.

    • In the “Additional Notes” section, simply request for the existing GDS dashboard to be updated using GA4 data

      • The DI team will understand what to change for standard Organic Search KPIs (i.e. traffic, revenue, etc.)

      • IMPORTANT NOTE: Current GA4 setup does not allow for regex’s or filters to include different page types (i.e. /product & /collection); however, this is possible using GDS, so please request a module for PDM-optimized pages & share the appropriate G-sheet with the URLs.

  • Track your request via the Reporting & Tracking Request Dashboard asana board here

Disclaimer: For those on cross-channel accounts, check with your AM/AD to make sure this request hasn't already been made and/or if there are plans to update the GDS report in the coming weeks. All new client dashboards will use the “Standard” GDS report below, using GA4 data on/after 7/1/23 and UA data before 7/1/23.

Examples of “Custom” GDS Reports:
