Paid Media Supplemental Feed Process: GMC Next

This will review how to access, find, and add supplemental feeds in GMC Next

GMC Next has revamped Supplemental Feeds and Feed Rules. These are now called Supplemental Data Sources and Attribute Rules.

This is listed as an "add on" in GMC Next, to access this you will need to have admin access.

How to Add Supplemental Feeds:

  1. Login to GMC Next

  2. Select the account you will be working on

  3. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select Add-ons

  4. Under Your add-ons find the option for Advanced Data Source Management

  5. If that option is not available, check the Discover area to add on the feature. The feature must be added before using.

How to Find Your Supplemental Feed:

  1. Login to GMC Next

  2. Select the account you will be working on

  3. In the Products tab, select View Data Sources

  4. If a supplemental feed is present, you should see a Primary sources area and a Supplemental sources area. The feed will be in the Supplemental sources area

How to Add a Supplemental Feed:

  1. Login to GMC Next

  2. Select the account you will be working on

  3. Navigate to the Products page > View data sources > Supplemental sources

    2. If you don’t see Supplemental sources, go back to How to Access Supplemental Feeds in GMC Next at the top of this article

  4. Select Add supplemental product data

  5. Select the Use a Google Sheets template option at the top. Then click on Use template

  6. Paste this Paid Media template into the Google Sheet that opens and edit it as you need for the supplemental data that you’re adding

    1. One note on the supplemental feed - if you are using the Google Sheets Template, you need to select the alias you're logged in to (NOT your personal @PDM email)

  7. Once complete fetch the new supplemental feed in GMC Next to process it and load in the new data
