How to register a lead and how to add a client as managed.

Registering a Lead

When: If you are working with a client or prospective new client that is looking to move over to Klaviyo, we want to register them as a lead within the Partner Portal. If you do not have a partner portal account, please reach out to Judy Chau.

Why: Power Digital receives increased commission incentives when it refers business to the platform, so we always want to ensure Klaviyo knows when new or existing brands are coming through via our team. This also pairs the client with Klaviyo dedicated reps for the sales process (aka you can be hands off!)

How: In the partner portal hit the "submit a lead" button in the top right hand corner. This will then prompt a form that you will need to fill out.

Add an Account As Managed

When: If you are working with a client that is on Klaviyo where we are owning strategy with their email program, we need to register them as a lead within the Partner Portal. If you do not have a partner portal account, please reach out to Judy Chau.

Why: Power Digital receives commission for MRR of our Klaviyo clients. This also ensures the client is properly designated within the right reps' book of business at Klaviyo and under the Power Digital umbrella.

How: In the partner portal navigate to Managed Accounts and then "add Managed Customer" button.

You will need your Klaviyo account's public API key as well as the email address for your point of contact. If an error message shows when you do so, please message Judy Chau who will ensure it's properly set up in the backend.

Your client will receive an email where they need to confirm that Power Digital is supporting in managing their email/SMS program(s). You can use the sample template below:

Hi [client name],

I hope you're doing well! We wanted to inform you that our partnership with Klaviyo requires us to log brands that we work with in their backend system. You should've received an email from them confirming that you work with us. All you need to do is click the confirm button when it arrives.

We appreciate your cooperation and your partnership! Let us know if you have any questions.
